Peer to peer assessments/comments on work.

Students checked symbols of peers to make sure a primary and secondary color were used in the painting.  If they were not, the student circled the season that needed fixed on the peer's paper.

2d. Managing student behavior.

Class artwork folders.

Students sign their name to the table folder at the beginning of the year in the form of an art room contract.  They are to work with their table teams to make the best art that they can, help one another out, and clean up quickly and efficiently.  The stickers are earned by cleaning up the fastest, listening to teacher directions, and being responsive and respectful students.  At the end of each 9 weeks the table with the most stickers earns an art prize (handmade crayon or eraser).  Each student is responsible for the table's earned sticker to the folder.

2e. Organizing physical space.

Students are able to open cupboards and find materials they need.  This increases student responsibility and ownership.

Materials are neatly organized in all cupboards to maximize time.
